What is V ( Verification and Validation ) Model ?




V Model ( Verification and Validation Model ) : V model is extension of waterfall model and it is based on the association of  a testing phase for each and every corresponding development stage. This means that for every single phase in development cycle there is directly associated testing phase. This is highly disciplined model and the next phase starts only after completion of previous stage.

Advantages :

1. Very high stability of product.
2. Testing team is involved from the start.
3. Time ans cost effective.

Disadvantages :

1. Initial investment is high.
2. If any changes happens in mid way than the test documents along with requirement documents has to be updated.
3. Very rigid and least flexible.
